“The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” Psalm 23
A friend shared this verse with me a couple of days ago, and it has really helped me over the past couple of days in a situation we’re currently going through, so I thought I would share it with you guys and hopefully it could speak to you as well.
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.'” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him; for He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust.” Psalm 103:13-14

“But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread Your protection over them, that all who love Your name may be filled with joy.” Psalm 5:11
“We love because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
His love is the greatest love there is, and we love because of that! As you go about your day today, just think of how much Christ loves us and what he did for us, make sure to share some of His love with others so that they may see Him through you!
“No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not corrupt and thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-20
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20
I absolutely love this verse, in fact, right now my husband has this as the signature of his text messages, we both do this, we pick a verse that we love or that has recently spoken something to us, for one so that we can see it but also so when we send a text to someone they either know that scripture or could look it up and get something from it as well, what are some ways you like to use to get God’s word out there?
I love this verse and I also want to make sure that I follow this in my life starting this new year, I often find myself with idle hands and having times of laziness and I really get upset with myself when I do that not saying that we don’t all need a time to rest and relax because of course we do, but there’s a difference in taking time for ourselves to relax and being lazy. I wanted to post these two different ways because I think that sometimes when we do see the different ways language is used it can even further help us to understand the verses we are reading and I wanted you to get that as well.
New International Version
“She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.” Proverbs 31:27
New Living Translation
“She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness.” Proverbs 31:27
Now, don’t take this as saying we are going to do this all the time, because we aren’t and that’s because we aren’t perfect, we can’t be perfect, we aren’t God, but we need to strive to be just like Him but if you do have a day or even a week of just being lazy don’t beat up on yourself, just know that because of God’s grace we don’t have to be perfect and He loves us even when we aren’t anything close to it, I just want to encourage you to strive to be more like Him and to make sure not to have idle hands, work hard for the Lord!
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4
